We are a qualified team with diverse backgrounds in health and community services. Our collective experience and passion drive our commitment to offering exceptional support within our local community. Our unique approach integrates our personal interests and lived experiences into our work, in hopes to promote a genuinely positive and engaging environment.

TAYLA

Co-Director, Disability Support Worker, AIN

Tayla, the founder of Alara Support, is driven by a deep commitment to helping others who face barriers or are most at risk in the community.

Tayla serves as a dedicated nursing assistant and support worker in Ballarat, bringing both professional expertise and personal insight to her role. Tayla is currently studying a Masters in Autism Research. She has provided professional, patient-focused care to many clients with diverse needs in disability, mental health, rehabilitation and oncology.

Tayla’s passion is centred on ensuring that individuals experiencing challenges know they are not alone. Tayla is committed to providing compassionate, accessible support, aiming to empower those in need and offer a reassuring presence. She believes in the importance of making support services available to everyone, especially those who may feel isolated or overlooked.

Tayla’s mission is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, fostering a supportive environment where everyone feels valued and understood. She is devoted to creating a space where individuals can find both practical assistance and emotional encouragement, helping them navigate their journeys with confidence.

DYLAN

Co-Director, Disability Support Worker

Dylan is an Indigenous disability support worker dedicated to making a positive impact in people’s lives. As a Ballarat local with a background in trade and construction, including architecture and landscaping, Dylan brings a diverse and practical skill set to his work. Dylan’s experience allows him to assist with hobbies such as woodworking, agriculture, garden, and design.

Dylan is committed to providing immaculate garden and property maintenance, ensuring these services are affordable and accessible to our local community. Due to this, many of these services are offered at low or no cost.

In addition to practical support, Dylan facilitates regular autism-friendly events such as team bowling nights, excursions to Melbourne, visits to Ballarat Tech School, and outdoor day trips. Dylan enjoys sharing his hobbies with others, including strategy and puzzle games, video games, and anime/manga.

Dylan and Tayla’s goals align in their mission to offer compassionate and practical support. Both are dedicated to ensuring that accessible support is available.
